Custom Jewelry FAQs

What is custom jewelry?

Custom jewelry is a blanket term for any piece of jewelry that you commission from a jeweler. The most common use of custom jewelry is in engagement rings and wedding bands.

Still, custom jewelry can be made for various purposes, including new family heirlooms, mementos, personal reminders, or simply because it's something you want to see in your home. The best way to think about custom jewelry is as something ordered by you.

What kinds of jewelry can be customized?

It's possible to customize many kinds of jewelry with personal engravings, however it can get costly depending on your desired options. The most common jewelry customized are bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and rings. Necklaces or bracelets can be made into custom-made anklets or bangles; certain earrings like hoops can also be customized with personal touches such as gemstones. As for rings, almost everything about them is customizable: gold, silver, and precious metal options for both men and women; colored gems for people who want something more vibrant than diamonds; add in detailed carvings, etchings, or engravings if you wish.

Where can I find custom jewelers?

Whether you are looking for something as small as a pair of diamond stud earrings or a large family heirloom such as a ruby pendant, your best bet is to find an individual jeweler. Most high-end jewelry stores have some custom department, but they have too many mouths to feed with their in-house designs. It can often take months or years to get back to you. Shopping for custom jewelry at local jewelers maybe your best option. Laie jewelry offers custom designs and can get your order completed on time.

Is Your Jewelry Made With Real Gold/ Silver?

In the United States, 14-karat gold is the most common jewelry, and our gold is made from brass with real 14k gold that makes people fixated on you. All our Gold jewelry – either purchased for yourself or as a gift – provides a lasting symbol of life's significant events, emotions, and accomplishments which makes the bearer irresistible

Our 14K gold is a mixture consisting primarily of gold, blended with durable metals such as zinc, nickel, copper, and a rhodium plating. This is because gold is relatively soft, making it easy to scratch, warp, and bend. So the alloy metals strengthen the composition. Our product is purer while also highly durable. With 14K gold, we offer you quality, durability, and good value for your money. Rings and other jewelry made using 14K gold are significantly more durable. This 14K product is an excellent choice for an engagement ring or any other piece of fine jewelry. It gives you that look you are desperate to get.

What Makes Your Product Different?

Just one of our products gives you three qualities that you can't just get anywhere: purity, value for money, and durability.

How Much Does a Custom Pendant Cost?

Custom pendants do not have fixed prices since the designs are left to the buyers' preference. However, with a well-defined preference, you can do a quick estimation. As you would expect, custom pendants made of solid gold and diamond are the most expensive. But, if you don't mind going for the gold-plated types, you may be able to save some thousands of dollars.

The gold-plated is primarily made of a different material, maybe silver or gold, and has a thin layer of gold plating on top of the primary metal. Both the gold-plated and solid gold pendants look alike. However, the gold-plated type is softer than the 100% gold pendant. That said, the gold-plated tends to be more durable.

Similarly, pendants made of cubic zirconia and other diamond alternatives are cheaper than solid diamonds. Even with a sophisticated design, you should get a good fit with hundreds of dollars. Depending on your quality and design preference, a custom pendant may cost $100 and $15,000. This is only an estimated range. When you decide on your pendant specifications, your retailer will give you a fixed figure that you can work with.

How Can I Make the Most of My Investment?

Whether you are getting the custom pendant for personal use or as a gift, it is ideal to want a piece that equates to your investment. Your choice of retailer is the first determinant of whether or not you will make the most of your money. Look for a reliable jeweler that offers a lifetime guarantee on its sales. To some extent, you can be sure that pendant pieces with a lifetime guarantee will be high-grade. And, suppose there's unexpected wear, the retailer will work with you for a replacement.

Another idea to be on top of the game is to go for retailers that allow multiple customization options. From the chain specification to the base metal, the gold/diamond plating, and pictures and names customization. A retailer committed to serving you should allow you to have full control over your piece.

At times, you may be lucky to find premade pendants with designs similar to your specification. Even if the pendant doesn't precisely fit your needs, you can still find closer options. In a case when you are gifting someone else, find out their preferred pendant specification. A jewelry gift is only unforgettable when you buy exactly what the recipient loves. You may customize the person's pictures and cherished phrases on the pendant.

How Do I Plan My Budget?

You need a reasonable budget plan when choosing a custom pendant to avoid overspending. Even though high-quality pendants are costlier, a moderately priced type doesn't always mean low quality.

Your budget will be influenced by the material specification, the chain quality, and the picture/words customization. Going for gold plating and fewer customization can make an excellent way to spend less.
